What If the Missing Piece Has Nothing to Do with Strategy?

Emotions are energy. When you experience something intense - whether it’s frustration, excitement, heartbreak, disappointment, or even a moment of pure joy - your body is designed to process that energy and move forward - But sometimes, it doesn’t.

Instead of passing through, that emotional energy lingers. It gets stored in your system, buried under the momentum of life. Over time, these unprocessed emotions start shaping how you react, how you feel, and even what you attract. You’ve built a life that works. You’re making moves, hitting milestones, and creating a reality that, on the surface, looks exactly like what you’ve been working for. You’re confident in your abilities, clear on your goals, and committed to growth.

But there are these little things... Maybe you second-guess yourself, even when you know you’re capable. Maybe big steps forward lead to unexpected detours. Perhaps relationships, opportunities, partnerships, or even just your own internal peace seem harder to sustain at times than they should be - even if you mask it well.

It’s not because you need more strategy, more training, or another book on high performance. These types of things are what trapped emotional energies do.. they pluck the strings off-key, messing with our inner melodies.

How Do Trapped Emotions Show Up in Your Life?

To dive deeper into the "symptoms" of trapped emotional energies... Have you ever felt an emotional reaction that didn’t quite make sense? Maybe you snapped at someone and thought, why did that bother me so much? Got hit with anxiety out of nowhere? Felt stuck in patterns you can’t seem to break, even when you “know better”? Whether it's hitting snooze or being a "work-a-holic."

Most people don’t realize they’re carrying trapped anything, much less "emotional energies", but here are some subtle signs (this is a range, perhaps not all of this will resonate):

  • Repeating patterns - in career, relationships, or personal growth, even when you put forth a valiant effort to do things differently.

  • Irrational reactions - something small triggers a big response, and you don’t know why, but at the end of the day or week you look back like, what the ...?

  • A constant feeling of being ‘almost there’ - like you’re on the verge of something great, or about to "blow up", finally get what you're striving for, etc., but something keeps slipping just out of reach or falling apart completely.

  • A nagging sense of resistance - whether it’s procrastination, self-doubt, overthinking, having to stress and try way too hard, or things just not flowing the way they should.

But I’ve Moved On—Haven’t I?

So.. in regards to moving on - Logically, mentally, in a "day-to-day" aspect - yes, absolutely - it's what we do. When stress, heartbreak, setbacks, or disappointments happen, you process them as best you can and move forward - which sometimes is literally, "I can't right now" so you tuck and move. You tell yourself you’ve handled it, that you’ve “moved on, gotten over it," etc.

But your body and subconscious don’t operate purely on logic. They store the emotional intensity of experiences - sometimes in ways you don’t even notice. And here’s the thing - this isn’t just about the big moments. It’s not just breakups, childhood wounds, or major life traumas. It’s the stress of daily life. The small frustrations that pile up in that hidden internal space where we unknowingly tuck things away. The disappointments we brush off. The emotions we suppress because we “don’t have time” to deal with them.

Over time, these unprocessed emotions shape our internal landscape. They influence our choices, reactions, and even our sense of ease in life. They create invisible roadblocks between us and the flow we’re trying to step into.

The Good News? You Don’t Have to Stay Stuck.

Trapped emotions aren’t permanent. You can release them. And when you do, things start to shift—more ease, more clarity, more flow. The heaviness you didn’t even realize you were + the weight you know you’ve been carrying (you just didn’t know you don’t have to) begins to lift, and that's when you really notice it. It was definitely that way for me.

The better news? You don't have to do it alone - I'm here to help you.
